Allergies, autism and GMOs - Yes, it's GMO week here at Brasscheck TV.
Why?    We can recover from a lot of things.
We can't recover from having our food supply systematically contaminated.

Prop 37 - Monsanto fails at attempt to explain away tumors caused by GM corn
Monsanto's efforts to dismiss new evidence linking its genetically modified (GM) corn to tumors has been thoroughly debunked in a public briefing by the food sustainability nonprofit Earth Open Source.
"NK603 must be immediately withdrawn from the market and all GMOs must be subjected to long-term testing," the briefing concludes.
In a two-year study, a team of French researchers led by Professor Gilles-Eric Seralini found that rats fed Monsanto's "Roundup Ready" corn developed significantly more tumors than a control group not fed GM corn. The rats fed a GM diet also developed tumors that appeared earlier and behaved more aggressively, and died sooner than rats in the control group.
The study found similar effects in rats exposed to Roundup herbicide at levels currently considered safe by most regulators.

Monsanto Goes All Out to Keep GMOs a Secret Ingredient in Our Food

Unmasking the No on Prop 37 Lies and Dirty Tricks
The Monsanto-Pepsi gang can't change the fact that 9 out of 10 people want to know if they're eating genetically modified organisms (GMOs). What they can do is try to trick California voters into believing that a simple label on their food is actually a nefarious plot to make consumers pay more for their food and make trial lawyers rich.

California needs to step up and require labeling of food that gets sold. Prop 37 does not prevent GMO-based food from being sold. It requires better and more honest labeling of the food, as is done in Europe and 61 other countries. Michael Pollan supports Prop 37. The California Nurses Association, the California Democratic Party, and Consumers Union (Publisher of Consumer Reports) supports it. I support it. Don't be intimidated by the chemical and / or agri business lobby. Yes on 37. Pass it on.

Leading food manufacturers and retailers are speaking out to set the record straight about Prop 37. These business leaders say Prop 37 is common sense and will give us the right to know what's in our food. Contrary to the claims of the opposition, they say Prop 37 will not raise costs or burden businesses.

Why do you think countries like China, Russia and the EU have labeled genetically engineered foods and in some cases even banned these foods from import and sale?

"It's hard to believe that Pepsi, Kraft and Nestle could label GMO foods in China, but somehow want to deny consumers in California that same right! For some reason, the same corporations that espouse the ideals of free market capitalism believe that Americans shouldn't have honest and transparent labels on their food."   Read more and comment here:

Nov 6 VOTE to LABEL GMOs! - Corporations owning some of the nation's most popular organic brands (Horizon, Silk, Kashi, Cascadian Farms, R.W. Knudsen's, etc.) have joined Monsanto and the biotechnology industry in fighting California citizen initiative, Proposition 37, that will mandate GMO labeling . And if we win in California, companies will then likely be forced to label GMOs nationwide.

GMO Interview with Jeffrey Smith ::: Prepare for the November 6th Vote on Prop 37! in California
http://youtu.be/7y-X8j6vKi4     http://www.labelgmos.org
Hi there, Please make sure you are prepared to teach people why we need to support California Prop 37, the mandatory labelling of GMOs.
Please watch this video to educate yourself about just how and why GMOs are harmful to the environment, to farmers, to animals, to babies, and to you! In just a few minutes Jeffrey Smith, acclaimed author of 'Seeds of Deception,' will describe to you why we need to remove GMOs from our diet and from the planet. Also, please make sure you support the vote for Prop 37 on November 6th, 2012 in California, the vote to demand mandatory GMO labeling on all foods!
Note: In all other states (20 states so far) where this law was proposed Monsanto was able to reverse it because Monsanto literally rules/owns the key government positions/offices relative to this issue. However, California is different. Prop 37 is a grassroots initiative created by the people (A Grandmom in Marin started it). Hence, in California, Monsanto must stop the people to stop the vote. Monsanto may have control over the government, but they don't have control over us now do they. So please rise up and stop them. The Government can't stop Monsanto but the People Can! If we get this law passed it will deal a serious blow to Monsanto.
By the way, a big reason why I am so vehemently opposed to Monsanto is that I have a massive amount of first hand eyewitness experience of the carnage they wreak in India, where every 30 minutes another farmer commits suicide by drinking roundup. Often it is hard to control my outrage against these diabolical Monsters. Someday I hope they all experience the fate of Icelandic bankers. Indeed, may Monsanto's Execs come face to face with Polly Higgins in the The Hague's ICJ!
